3 Tier Basement, Linton

Doherty Engineers carry out bulk excavation/groundworks and all reinforced concrete to a split level 3 tier basement including water proof tanking works, this included rising main to be installed due to the very steep incline of site, to 4 houses in Linton area of Leeds.

Specialist Concrete Works, Barnsley

Doherty Engineers were awarded the specialist concrete works by Naylor Concrete Products, to add to their improved concrete lintel production facility in Barnsley.

The works consisted of constructing Concrete beds approx 100m long onto steel plate bolts which had to be very precise, casting in steel plates adjacent to tram lines which had tolerance of 1-2ml max, with extended internal drag chain channels to be formed. External beds to be altered and external drainage and slabs to be cast, this was to enable Naylor Concrete Products to extend and expand their production facilities for there pre-stressed concrete products.

This involved intense planning from our engineers, site team along with Naylors management and Prensoland team from Spain, months before the works was due to commence, this was imperative to a project of this nature especially within a live working factory facility.

We had several meetings to ensure everything ran as smoothly as possible before and whilst the works was being carried out, with daily and weekly on site up date meetings.

Prensoland pre-stressed lintel and beam manufacturer from Barcelona Spain supplied all specialist bespoke steel fabrication kit, including the pre-stressed lintel moulding machines.

The communication from Doherty Engineers team, planning vigorously with Naylors management and Prensoland team in Spain, was instrumental to the success of this project, all working together as one team.

With regular meetings before and throughout the project, to make sure all manufacturer's kit from overseas was delivered, installed and formed within the programme time limit that Naylors had set, and most importantly to make sure Naylors Concrete Products carried on with their daily production within there facility with minimal disturbance.

Construct concrete ramps and up stands within live working factory with no disturbance to their day-to-day running including deliveries.
